We need to focus on what unites us, which is being American. We need to stand up for our neighbors and country before we have neither. My Commitments to VERMONTERS is just that. I believe it is the people that should lead, they are the voices behind the elected officials. It should NOT be special interest groups, lobbyists, or the self-prescribed "global elite". Now, is the time to put an end to the "career politician" with the introduction of term-limits.
I will be your voice in Washington D.C. My goals will be to protect the rights of our veterans, parents, children, and the brave proud members of our law enforcement. I will protect the rights of employers who should not be forced to follow unlawful mandates/guidelines or be fined; employees who are faced with comply or be terminated. These tyrannical politicians have created a new worldwide mental health crisis.
The United States Government is supposed to protect rights of American citizens, not decide what "rights" should be and who should have them. Our immigration system is currently broken. Thousands illegally cross our Nations border daily. We are not a country without borders. I will advocate and vote for immigration policies that best serve Vermont and our Country. I will fight to reinstate or keep in place the prior administrations "Remain in Mexico" policy.
Just a year ago, America was energy independent by the policies and actions of the prior administration. This all changed on January 20, 2021 with the signing of "pre-election drafted" executive order by Joe Biden. This order revoked a key permit needed to complete the project. Keystone XL was eventually halted by owner TC Energy, as that permit was necessary for a U.S. stretch of the 1,200-mile project. This stretch had estimates to carry 830K barrels per day of Alberta oil sands crude to Nebraska. The stoppage of the pipeline resulted in the loss of thousands of jobs, it reduced U.S. production, and prices have skyrocketed. This needs to be revisited with focus on not just the environmental impact but the economic as well.
